\"PSU<\/a>Puntland State University has remarkably improved its global ranking, moving 310 positions up to be placed 6262 out of 21, 500 ranked higher education institutions globally by Webometrics. In the quarter ending June 30, 2014 rankings,<\/p>\n

PSU was ranked 1st out of 23 Universities<\/a> in Somalia, 67 out of 726 Universities<\/a> in Sab-Sahara Africa, 124 out of 1,306 Universities <\/a>in Africa and 6262 out of 21,500 Universities <\/a>in the world.<\/p>\n

PSU\u2019s latest performance can be attributed to increased number of publications by the university academic community, resulting in enhanced knowledge transfer. The University has also recently increased the number of sub-sites as well as rich text uploads which saw its web presence to be ranked 4104 globally.<\/p>\n

To do even better, PSU is currently implementing an ambitious online visibility enhancement strategy, that will see more resources and information availed on its website,<\/p>\n

The Ranking Web of Webometrics is the largest academic ranking of Higher Education Institutions and is aimed at promoting academic web presence and supporting the Open Access initiatives for increasing significantly the transfer of scientific and cultural knowledge generated by the university to the whole society.<\/p>\n\n
