Puntland State University Signs MoU with KASNEB to Advance Professional Education

Puntland State University (PSU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB), marking a significant step toward strengthening collaboration in professional education, training, research, curriculum development, and capacity building.

The partnership is designed to enhance the quality of education and equip graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to meet evolving workforce demands. Through joint initiatives, the two institutions will collaborate on curriculum review, research, consultancy, and the identification of emerging market needs.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, PSU Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance, Mohamed H. Burci, and the Chief Executive Officer of KASNEB Prof. Nicholas expressed confidence that the partnership will expand opportunities for students, strengthen professional skills development, and contribute to higher education and workforce readiness across the region.

As part of the collaboration, PSU students will have access to internationally recognized KASNEB qualifications, including certificate and diploma programmes, as well as professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Secretary (CS), Certified Investment and Financial Analyst (CIFA), and Certified Forensic Fraud Examiner (CFFE).

This partnership reflects PSU’s continued commitment to providing quality education, fostering academic excellence, and creating pathways for professional growth and career success.
