PSU launches Training Program on ‘land Administration, Management and Governance’

On Monday May 23 2016 PSU launched the first training on Land Administration, Management and Governance in collaboration with HAYAN, NRC and UN-Habitat.

The training, ‘Land Administration, Management and Governance’ is the first one on the thematic area of land management and is intended to build state and municipal government capacity to make informed decisions on land issues caused by the rapidly growth of cities and the land conflicts.

Twenty participants from the Ministry of Public works, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture, Courts, Public Notaries and Garowe Municipality are participating in this five day training.

At the end of the training, participants will have an increased awareness of broader issues and pressures related to urbanization and its impact on land.
