Puntland State University Expands Global Partnerships Through Strategic International Collaborations
Garowe, Somalia – Puntland State University (PSU) continues to strengthen its international engagement by signing two strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading higher education and international organizations. These partnerships reinforce the University’s commitment to academic excellence, research, innovation, and global cooperation.
PSU Partners with Kampala International University (KIU), Uganda
Puntland State University has signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding with Kampala International University (KIU), one of Uganda’s leading higher education institutions. The partnership aims to expand academic opportunities and strengthen collaboration in teaching, research, and innovation.
Under the agreement, PSU graduates will have access to postgraduate programmes (Master’s and PhD) at KIU with a 50% tuition discount, while Puntland State University will serve as the official examination centre for the programmes.
The collaboration also includes joint research and publication initiatives, organization of academic conferences, and collaborative grant applications to secure funding for research and development projects.
This partnership represents a significant milestone in PSU’s efforts to provide quality education, promote impactful research, and create international opportunities for students and academic staff.
PSU Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the International Cultural Communication Center Malaysia (ICCCM)
In another major achievement, Puntland State University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Cultural Communication Center Malaysia (ICCCM), further advancing the University’s internationalization agenda.
The collaboration will focus on jointly participating in the International People-to-People Exchange Friendship Institute project, promoting Chinese Language Plus Vocational Skills training, and supporting the implementation of Chinese occupational education standards.
Additionally, both institutions will collaborate through the ITEA Learning Platform, sharing educational resources, teaching materials, and expertise to enhance international cooperative education.
This partnership opens new avenues for academic exchange, professional development, and international collaboration, providing PSU students and staff with broader global learning opportunities.
