PSU celebrated 2013 African University Day

On 12th of November 2013, Puntland State University (PSU) celebrated the Association of African Universities day, under the commemoration theme of “Changing Higher Education Landscape in Africa: Highlighting Success Stories”. The event was held at the university main Campus Hall in Garowe, Puntland Somalia. A number of ministers, government officials and representatives from international agencies based in Garowe, attended the ceremony .

The ceremony was opened by the PSU Vice Chancellor, Mohamud Hamud Mohamed with remarks marking the occasion and the importance of the AAU as a representative forum for all  African higher education issues in Africa . He also informed the participants on AAU goals for Higher Education, notably, to facilitate the attainment and positioning of HEIs as strategic assets in tackling   socio-economic challenges in the continent.
